We take on the cost of dental care.
It Starts With A Smile exists to ensure that no person with a disability goes without essential dental care because of financial barriers or a lack of specialized providers. We connect neurodivergent individuals and people with disabilities to compassionate dentists who can safely provide the care they need and we help make that care affordable. Every person deserves to live free from dental pain.
This kind of treatment can cost a family up to $20,000. We exist to remove this barrier.
It Starts With A Smile Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
How it works
Individuals or families apply. We bring the case to a participating dentist experienced with patients who may need sedation. If the dentist accepts, treatment happens in their own office with an anesthesiologist (if needed) providing sedation safely. We pay the doctors directly.
